Our QVHS cross-country team performed outstandingly at today’s WPIAL Championships. We have been preparing for this race throughout our summer training and the regular season, and our student-athletes were truly amazing today.
Congratulations to our runners on their performance today and throughout this season. The Boys' teams placed First out of 38 teams with this the Boys' team has qualified for next Saturday's PIAA Cross Country Championships. The Girls finished Third out of 35 teams in team scoring with this the Girls' team also qualified for next Saturday's PIAA Cross Country Championships. Individual performances are listed in the chart below and I am also sharing this link to the full results from each race at today’s WPIAL Championships.
Special congratulations and recognition to Cecilia Montagnese for winning the WPIAL Cross Country AA Girls Championship Race!
With their performances today, the following student-athletes have qualified for next Saturday's PIAA Championships.
- Boys: Tyler Bell, Ryan Kempton, Gio Ramella, Macky Gartley, River Capek, Clark LaLomia, Jonah Montagnese, and Jackson Pethel.
- Girls: Emily Bablak, Maggie Doz, Kwilai Karto, Cecilia Montagnese, Kennedy O’Neill, Lucy Montagnese, Rose Pocasangre, and Kate Steinfurth.
