QVMS SOFTBALL managed through a push by Northgate MS in the second inning where QVMS SOFTBALL coughed up three runs, but QVMS SOFTBALL still won 19-3 on Wednesday.
QVMS SOFTBALL secured the victory thanks to ten runs in the first inning. The rally was led by singles by Donika Keo McClay and Olivia Hoose, a walk by Gianna Goodman, a triple by Isabella Jarrett, a home run by Jarrett, by Gemma Wiegand, and a double by Amberlee Darr.
QVMS SOFTBALL got things moving in the first inning, when Jarrett homered on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs.
Natalie DeGori pitched QVMS SOFTBALL to victory. The pitcher allowed four hits and three runs over three innings, striking out six. Hoose threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Hoose recorded the last three outs to earn the save for QVMS SOFTBALL.
QVMS SOFTBALL launched one home run on the day. Jarrett had a homer in the first inning.
QVMS SOFTBALL collected 14 hits. Keo McClay, Hoose, Jarrett, Goodman, and Grace Carver all collected multiple hits for QVMS SOFTBALL. Carver, Goodman, Jarrett, Hoose, and Keo McClay each managed two hits to lead QVMS SOFTBALL. Hoose led QVMS SOFTBALL with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with eight stolen bases. QVMS SOFTBALL didn't commit a single error in the field. Jarrett had ten chances in the field, the most on the team.
