Quakers Lose: -

Both Boys and Girls medley relays earned medals. Girls 5th place. Lydia Kilpela, Rena Gilligan, Emily Connors, Margaret Getty.

Boys 7th. Ryan Steinfurth, Adlan Hifri, Thomas Fuener, Marcus Zhan. Both relays made states

The girls 200 free relay took home the 5th place medal. Rena Gilligan, Alexa Westwood, Emily Connors, Margaret Getty. Relay made states.

Earning medals in 200 Free. Maragret Getty, and Marcus Zhan both took 5th. And again in 500 Free. Margaret 3rd. Marcus 4th. All four of these events made states.

Emily Connors took 2 medals in the 50 Free, 3rd place, new school record. And 3rd in 100 fly. Both events madestates.

Thomas Feuner took the 6th place medal in the 100 fly. Made States.

Austin Young, will be the Alt. for the boys relays.

Over all the girls took 6 out of 34 scoring team.. the Boys took 12th of 33 scoring teams

Girls were in 1st. place till the last event..

Great performance by the team this weekend at MACS. Swimmers took more 1st place finishes than any other school!! (7 total) The girls took 3rd place with 256 points and the boys took 5th with 188 points. Many personal best times. QVSA Girls beat West Allegheny, 110-70 to win their section! QVSA boys lost to West Allegheny, 57-95. WIP times were bettered and got a few more MAC cuts!

QVSA Girls Win: 95-73 QVSA Boys Loss (with only 7 boys): 86-74

QV Girls win 103 to 65 QV Boys loss 93 to 54 QVSA did amazing!! With only 6 boys, we took first in 8 of the 11 events. Marcus Zhan (SA) broke the Beaver pool record in the 500 freestyle. Lydia Kilpela (SA) and Alexa Westwood (QV) both broke the 100 Backstroke record. Emily Connors QV broke the 100 Free record. And the relay team of Kipela, Gilligan, Getty, and Connors broke both the Medley and 200 free relay pool records. Team earned more MAC and WIP cuts tonight.. Alot of person best times!!

The QV girls remain undefeated in the section. Winning at Riverside 74 to 14 The QV boys, again only 6 swimmers tonight, lost 25 to 65. QV Sr. Emily Connors has earned a WIP cut now in every event!!

The QVSA girls defeated Blackhawk 126 to 58 QVSA boys could not pull out a win. They lost to Blackhawk 125 to 43 Kuddos to our boys.. All swimmers scored.. we only had 6 boys tonight! QV.Sr. Emily Connors broke a 2009 record in the 50 free. Then again, a 2018 record in the 100 fly... Back to back events!!

Very good swims tonight against a large AAA team. QV and SA swimmers had a lot of success... 3 divers made it to WIPS. Ruby Olliffe, Ruby Krotine, Katie Blackmer. All 3 of the girls relays made WIPS.. Along with the boys Medley relay Individual Events making WIPS: Emily Connors and Thomas Fuener 100 Butterfly Margaret Getty and Marcus Zhan in the 500 Free. Lydia Kilpela and Ryan Steinfurth in the 100 Back, Ryan also made it to WIPS in the 50 Free. Emily Connors and Marcus Zhan in the 100 Free All those listed count for MAC cuts as well, along with cuts earned by Alexa Westwood 200 Free and 100 Free. Rena Gilligan, Lydia Kipela, Thom Fuener in the 50 Free. Kate Hines and Sofia Castagnaro in the 100 butterfly. Sofia also made the cut in the 100 Backstroke.
