The boys' team won with a final score of 75 - 63. The girls' team fell just short of a victory with a final score of 74 - 65. Both teams did fantastic overall!
Each coach would like to recognize an athlete from yesterday's meet.
Coach Jones would like to recognize Freshman Maisy Bates for trying a new event (300 hurdles) and scoring a varsity point in her first meet. Maisy was our only 300 hurdler and placed 3rd overall.
Coach Laura would like to recognize Sophomore Clayton Powell for tying his personal best in High Jump. Clay placed 2nd out of 6 competitors.
Coach Forest would like to recognize Freshman Stevin Wallace for running the 1600m (1mile) and then on a whim running the 3200m (2 mile). Stevin placed 3rd in the 1600m and 2nd in the 3200m (without planning to run it) and scored 4 total points for our team.
Coach Miller would like to recognize Senior Claire Kuzma for setting a personal best in both the Shot Put and Discus. Claire tied for first place in the Shot Put and won the Discus. Claire's Discus mark was further than the state qualifying standard.
Excellent job to those individuals and everyone for putting forth such great effort!
